I think of nothing else besides drink recipes during the hot, summer months! This homemade honey simple syrup is a healthier alternative to regular simple syrup, but is just as easy!
This is a sponsored post. I was fortunate enough to receive products and/or monetary compensation from Nude Bee Honey Co. Though products were received, all opinions are my own and I would not recommend a product that I did not enjoy!
It feels like it was not too long ago when I shared another Nude Bee Honey Co. recipe.
Wait! It was just last week 😉
I actually created this homemade honey simple syrup before last week's buttermilk honey cornbread muffins, but wanted to share something drink-wise a bit closer to Father's Day.
And you can bet tomorrow's recipe utilizes this honey simple syrup 😉
I have always had the motto that if it easier to make at home, why buy it from the store? Especially if it is cheaper!! Simple syrup is literally sugar and water. How our liquor stores can charge anything over $3 for this simple concoction is beyond me.
However, I will admit, using finer ingredients such as Nude Bee Honey Co.'s Blueberry Honey makes all the difference! And while you're are using a gourmet ingredient, homemade simple syrup is still cheaper than store-bought (heck, can you even buy honey simple syrup from a store?!?)
Not only am I in love with how this mixture looks, but the taste is outstanding! True, raw honey flavor coming through. Perfect for mixed drinks, brushing on top of layer cakes, or even drizzling on top of fruit!
To be honest, I think this honey simple syrup is the next best thing to enjoying raw honey on its own 🙂
If you cannot find Nude Bee Honey at your local grocery store, they do have an online store, so be sure to check out all their flavors!
