The Cookie Writer is located in Ontario, Canada and loves working with Canadian products!
I love cooking and baking so there is no shortage of brands that I enjoy working with! I have had the opportunity of working with The Little Potato Company, Hershey’s, and Almond Breeze (just to name a few!) As a food blogger, my readers rely on my honest integrity and value my opinions. For that reason, I only recommend brands and products that I find suit my cooking and kitchen 100%!
If you think you have a product/brand/lifestyle that suits The Cookie Writer, do not hesitate to contact me! Below you will find my goals/interests.
The Cookie Writer believes in the philosophy of everything in moderation. We enjoy healthy meals, but there are also the nights we enjoy a hot cup of cocoa with some cheesy-topped nachos. We enjoy what we love most: food! And that can include anything from healthy, to hearty, to just the darn delicious (cookies!!)
Products from brands are important in our everyday life. We have ones that we LOVE above all others and use them day to day. I only suggest and recommend the brands/products I feel most comfortable with. Sometimes these posts are sponsored, and sometimes not, but The Cookie Writer will always place a disclaimer when it comes to their involvement with a specific product/brand.
The Cookie Writer contains advertising from various marketing agencies and is open to new and intriguing opportunities! This can be from ad companies themselves, or in the form of reviews, guest posts, and giveaways (I would prefer to have worked with the product first before hosting a giveaway, so samples are appreciated.)
Book Reviews/Giveaways/Guest Posts
I love reading other blogs (food and design mostly) and am very open to guest posts (whether hosting a post here or writing elsewhere.) It is fun to meet new people who share common interests and this is a great opportunity to promote your blog. Book reviews (preferably cooking related) can be done with personal attention, and it would be even better if I could create a recipe from the cookbook to feature on the blog (gives my readers a little teaser.) Giveaways are always beneficial to both parties. Working together with other food bloggers to create a giveaway such as a stand mixer or gift card is always welcome here at The Cookie Writer (as long as the product fits our lifestyle.)
Freelance Writing/Recipe Development
Cooking, baking, and writing?! I cannot get enough of them and would be happy to help you write an article or post. I graduated with a specialized degree in English as my passion in life has always been writing. I can also help with recipe development and create a meal that fits your lifestyle (gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free: you name it!)
As of January 2016 I have been a contributor at Julie’s Eats & Treats! Summer 2016 I have had the opportunity to work at Belle of the Kitchen and The Weary Chef! I look forward to future collaborations with other great food bloggers.
Social Media Promotion
When a brand or product is featured on my website, I focus my attention not only on the article at hand, but the ability to promote it online to the best of my capacity. I have no problems sharing my review/post with my followers because the brand has already established a relationship with me that I feel comfortable communicating to others.
While The Cookie Writer is still developing and bringing in new readers daily, I feel my fan-base is of significant importance to me and I am always looking at ways to make people feel welcome! As of May 2017 I am sticking to a 2 post limit per week, generally Monday and Tuesday. This allows me to focus on new recipes and perfecting every detail before posting.
